I’m about half-way through reading Arclight by Josin L. McQuein – so far it’s managed to terrify me not just once but twice. These Fade thingies are creeeeeeeepy!
My roommate told me that we’re going to start watching Believe. Yes, that’s pretty much how the conversation went. Actually, he told me he watched the pilot episode last night randomly, but I don’t see it starting until the 15th, so I’m not sure how that worked, haha. Anyway, it does look pretty good. So that’s the newest thing in this house.
I’ve moved on to a new audiobook this week…I’m listening to The Cranes Dance by Meg Howrey. It’s coming off a little bit pretentious so far, but I think that’s the point. Maybe. And my new favorite song is Happy by Pharrel Williams (apparently it’s from Despicable Me 2), I just love how upbeat and fun it is!
Worried…some of you may know that the area that I live and work flooded really badly last year (if you haven’t heard about it, google the High River and Calgary floods of 2013). High River is still recovering from the damage last year and many people are still not in their homes, if they have one left – one neighborhood was totally condemned and torn down. And now…we’ve got overland flood alerts going on because the ground and rivers are still frozen but the temperature is rising, causing runoff from the mountains to come rushing down. Good times. I love this area, it’s beautiful…and this is the one thing we have to deal with here. It’s a bit early for flooding, though – usually that’s in May/June when it starts raining lots.
The warm weather! I know that we will still have some crappy weather to come, but after what seems like FOREVER of cold, these warmer temperatures are heaven!
That I’m really sensitive sometimes. I can give (and take) mild teasing, but HATE when people take it too far and then realize what sort of reaction they’ll get and continue doing it. I had an anxiety attack at work because one guy pushed me too far…not a good feeling, at all.
To go see Divergent next weekend! My cousin and I are trying to arrange tickets for 7 of us (3 adults, 4 kids) to go see it opening night. It’ll be tough getting seats near each other, but we’re all VERY excited to go see this movie!
To start barbecuing. Now that the weather has started to warm up, I’m itching SO bad to have a steak and baked potatoes or something. My roommate said he’ll hook up the BBQ for me (it’s been sitting here since I bought it last year because I’m too scared to hook up the propane tank, haha) and I will be using it non-stop once he does!
About how to rearrange the furniture in my living room/dining area to maximize the space. It’s such an odd space with a window and patio door in weird places, it makes it hard to move things around to fit. I don’t mind how it’s set up now except for the cords from the back of the entertainment stand looking ugly in the dining area. I’ll come up with something, though!
